Frequently asked questions

Clear expectations before you choose a product or service.

Answers about applicability, editability, certification boundaries, licensing, support, and the ISO standard.

Is the toolkit for first‑time certification or QMS maintenance?

Both. It is intended to give first‑time certification teams an organized implementation path and give already‑certified manufacturers practical tools for maintaining and improving their QMS.

Are the files editable?

The toolkit is intended to include editable procedures, forms, registers, trackers, and implementation resources. Exact file formats and any protected areas will be listed before purchase.

Does the toolkit guarantee ISO 9001 certification?

No. Templates and support can help an organization implement its QMS and prepare for certification, but they do not guarantee an outcome. Certification decisions are made by independent certification bodies.

Does the toolkit include the official ISO standard?

No. Sentinel materials support implementation and do not include or replace the official ISO standard.

Do we still need an authorized copy of the applicable standard?

Yes. Customers should obtain an authorized copy of the applicable ISO standard and use it alongside Sentinel’s implementation materials.

What is the difference between the toolkit and template customization?

The toolkit provides an organized, editable QMS starting point. Template customization is a separate paid service that adapts agreed materials to an organization’s processes, terminology, roles, and existing controls.

Can Sentinel assess our current QMS?

Yes. A professional gap assessment can review an agreed set of documents, records, and process information and organize observed gaps and implementation priorities. It is not a certification audit.

Can support be delivered remotely?

Yes. Sentinel can support customers remotely. Selective onsite assistance may be considered where appropriate, but availability and travel boundaries are confirmed for each engagement.

What size manufacturer is the toolkit designed for?

Sentinel’s strongest focus is small manufacturers of approximately 10 to 100 employees, especially organizations without a full‑time quality systems specialist.

Can we redistribute or resell the templates?

You may customize the documents, including company branding, for your licensed organization. You may share adopted documents and completed records for legitimate business and audit needs. Blank or master templates may not be redistributed or resold without written permission. See the Product License for the complete terms.

How is the ISO 9001 transition handled?

ISO 9001 Transition Readiness Gap Analysis Workbook is included in the planned toolkit scope. ISO 9001:2026 has been published. Sentinel includes transition-readiness material whose edition-specific coverage is being reviewed before release. Customers should confirm certification and transition arrangements with their certification body. The purchased release includes its listed transition material. Future revisions and additional transition updates are separate unless the order expressly includes them.

Does Sentinel issue ISO certification?

No. Sentinel is not ISO, a registrar, or a certification body. Sentinel provides implementation tools and certification readiness support.

Do we need to purchase every product and service?

No. Customers can begin with the tools or assistance appropriate to their current needs and add other support later.

Do Sentinel products provide AS9100 compliance?

No AS9100 compliance claim is made. Sentinel’s current materials are focused on ISO 9001 unless a future product expressly states otherwise.
